What we’re looking for:

We are currently seeking nominations for two vacancies - a Secretary and a Treasurer.‍ ‍

We're on the lookout for dedicated individuals to join our dynamic Board. As a vital part of our team, Board members play a crucial role in championing the interests and aspirations of AWSA members and the vibrant community of wāhine and kōtiro surfers across Aotearoa. If you're passionate about surfing and committed to making a positive impact, we want you onboard'!

If you or someone you know would like to jump onboard the AWSA wave have a read below. Remember to nominate, vote and be an active board member please ensure you are a current paid AWSA member.

Time commitment needed:

Hui for 2026/27 will be held the third Wednesday of each month @ 6.00pm - 7.30pm. The expected minimum commitment is to attend regular hui plus an additional one hour per week to assist with the progression of wāhine and kōtiro surfing around Aotearoa.

How to get involved:

Complete the application form below. If there are more nominations that there are vacancies, these will need to be determined by AWSA members at the AGM on 29 April 2026.
